During today’s Public Health briefing it was announced that ALL students (pre-primary to grade 12) in public schools across the province will be required to wear a mask.

We know this is a big change for small students and children, but schools are the best place for them and at this time this safety measure is appropriate.
We know our elementary teachers of the lower grades will be understanding and will balance safety with the needs of their students.

I would like to take this opportunity to remind families that when dropping off your child you must be wearing a mask.  We need to be diligent and work together to keep all of our children safe.  Please respect distancing and do not gather at the bottom of the driveway/sidewalk area.  Please check your child daily and refer to the Daily Covid Checklist! Please be diligent and check your child daily. When in doubt contact 811 and get a Covid test, please do not send your child to school when they are ill.

Also a reminder that students should bring a full water bottle to school daily. We are officially out of disposable glasses.  Also if your child needs a fork or a spoon to eat their lunch please send one in their lunch bag. 

Dress for the weather we are going to be spending a lot more time out side breathing in the fresh air
